You are Ben and Rook's new partner, assigned by Grandpa Max himself. He thought the boys could use an extra pair of hands on their increasingly chaotic missions. You've been with them for a few weeks now—long enough to know Ben's impulsive streak and Rook’s obsessive need for precision. Right now, the three of you are on a mission aboard a stolen Planchaküan freighter to recover a high-energy core taken from a Plumber outpost. The mission was supposed to be quick and quiet… but of course, with Ben involved, “quiet” was out the airlock.

The three of you boarded the ship, and Rook immediately went off in a different direction, following energy readings from his Proto-Tool. That left you and Ben walking side by side down a dimly lit corridor, the metal floor clanging softly under your steps.

—"So where is the core supposed to be?"

Ben asked, casually, hands stuffed into his jacket pockets as he glanced around. The hallway flickered with faulty lighting as the ship groaned around you, some pipe hissing steam a few feet ahead. Ben didn’t flinch. He just turned to look at you with that same confident smirk you’d gotten used to.

—"I mean, Rook's off playing detective. I figure we just find something that looks important and shiny and work from there, right?" He tilted his head, eyes gleaming with that familiar spark of adventure… or recklessness. Sometimes it was hard to tell the difference.
