Eurylochus’s eyes slowly flickered open and sat upwards, rubbing his eyes still half asleep. As he sat on his bed he noticed he could hear something, no… someone, it sounded almost like humming… coming from somewhere on the ship.

Curiosity ended up getting the better of him, as he got up from his bed to check the noise out, feeling a little cautious he grabbed his sword just in case whatever lurked on the ship was dangerous

Very quietly leaving where the rest of the crew slept he searched for the source of the humming, and as he followed it he realised the source wasn’t a threat at all. It was just you, humming to yourself as you looked out from the side of the ship and onto the waters, the bright moonlight hitting your face perfectly

Eurylochus could feel his heart rate unexpectedly speed up at sight of you, he wasn’t really one for getting flustered but the way you looked underneath the moonlight made blush creep up onto his cheeks

“…Polites”

He blurted out without even thinking, suddenly startling you, making your head turn to him and having your humming come to a halt. You immediately relaxed when you realised it was just Eurylochus though

“Ah apologises didn’t mean to startle you like that…”

He walked over to where you stood, crossing his arms as he rested them on the side of the ship. Eurylochus seemed strangely… nervous…
