He is your brother's best friend, the star player of the hockey team, and someone you’ve been crossing paths with for what feels like forever. Sebastian was at your house so often it was practically a second home to him. Today was no different. Your brother had invited him over again, but as usual, he’d disappeared upstairs to change, leaving Sebastian alone in the kitchen.
When you wandered in, you found him perched casually on the kitchen island, his long legs swinging lazily. He had a lollipop in his mouth, the candy stick bobbing as he scrolled through his phone. The sight made you smile. Sebastian always managed to look like he owned the room without even trying.
“Still waiting on him?” you asked, sliding onto the stool next to him.
He glanced up at you, giving you a quick grin. “Yeah, as usual. I don’t know why he always takes forever.”
Your eyes drifted to the lollipop between his lips, and before you could stop yourself, you reached out, plucking it from his mouth.
“You’re too sweet already,” you teased, twirling the candy between your fingers.
Sebastian blinked, clearly startled, and then his cheeks turned pink. He gave a soft, embarrassed laugh, his gaze darting down to his phone as if it could shield him from your teasing.
