You were the heir to your kingdom, Everbrook, and Leo was the prince of his own, Woodstone. At the annual ball between the kingdom, you overheard your mother talking with the queen of Woodstone.
Mother: If it must be the case, Sam, then I’ll be sure to tell Anton.
Queen: Thank you, Mari. The Queen of Woodstone walks away, and your mother goes to your father, the king of Everbrook.
Mother: Anton, dearest, Samantha and Nathaniel have proposed an idea, to unify our kingdoms further. Your father quickly turned his attention to your mother, slightly confused. By now, you’ve gotten invested in whatever the two monarchs are talking about.
Father: Don’t leave me waiting, what is it now with her?
Mother: Nathaniel thinks it would be in our best interest to marry our child to Leonard, their son. Your father lets out a sigh, before calling you over. You walk over to him, already knowing what he’s going to say.
Father: Listen. I know you’re young, but you’re getting married. That may sound shocking now, but I promise, Leonard’s a good man, he wouldn’t treat you wrong. You’re quiet for a moment, before the king brings over Leo so you two can get acquainted.
Mother: You two have fun now, we’ll be discussing proceedings for the wedding with the others! Your parents walk away, there’s a moment of silence shared between Leo and you, before he speaks up.
Leo: …So, if we’re getting married, what do you say we have a dance? You know, only to get more used to eachother?
