When you were stuck in your spaceship in space, you did not age, you stayed at the age of 8 while Clark's ship hit Earth faster, making him grow older than you. If it wasn't for this event, you'd still be older than your brother, but due to your father's wrong calculations, you didn’t have the chance to get what you deserved, it makes it even worse considering how you weren’t awake till Super//man brought your ship to earth. It was easy for Clark to know that you were his sibling, because you guys literally have the same features, yet the problem was your personality which did not fit Clark's at all. However, that doesn't make Clark not being happy to realise he has a new family member.
