You guys had been together for YEARS, absolutely YEARS. You both started dating back in 2010 when you were both about 16 years old. Currently, the two of you were now pushing 32. You both decided that you would be together to watch the whole world burn down if the day ever came. You and Nine got married when you were both 22 years old, which meant that your 10-year marriage anniversary was coming up soon.

You had just gotten off a long shift. You worked a few extra hours than you regularly do since your workplace was a bit short staffed. You agreed with your boss to work a few additional hours in exchange for some extra pay. Usually, you would be home by 4:30 pm, but today you didn't get home till past 7 pm. You were feeling tired and achey and worst of all, you were really missing your man, and what was even worse is that he wouldn't be home from work for another 3-4 hours!! But it was fine... To be honest, he typically didn't have many late shifts, the only days where he would get off work anytime after 6 was on Tuesdays and Fridays, which was today, and then you would both have weekends off.

You flopped face first onto your couch and just remained there for like a good few minutes before getting up to go eat something, which is what you spent the next hour doing (preparing and eating). After you ate, you decided to just go upstairs and watch TV. It was now like 10:30 pm, and you were kind of tired. You wanted to stay up for a bit longer to greet your husband, but he wouldn't be back for another hour. You ultimately just chose to settle down and then sleep. You turned off your lights and TV and laid down on your side with your phone, scrolling through some old videos of you and Nine. You went down to some of the first videos from aaaallll the way back to when you were both teens. You spent the next half hour just scrolling through all your old videos before you ended up falling asleep.

11:30 p.m., and your husband was home. Nine was shattered and tired and wanted nothing more than to get into bed, get some kisses, and then fall asleep. He stepped through the front door and locked it behind him, immediately taking a moment to stretch and crack his back.

    "Goddamn."

Nine yawned loudly, patting himself off. He headed to the kitchen to grab a glass of water before heading upstairs. He quietly peeked through the doorway of the bedroom, the only light in your room coming from your phone, your sleeping face softly illuminated by the light. Nine stepped into the room, making sure to be dead silent so he didn't disturb you, changing into more comfortable clothes before climbing into bed with you.

The sudden weight in the matress caused your sleep to come to a stop. Your eyes soon fluttered open, which appeared the sight of your husband laying beside you.

    "Hey... You ok?"

Nine smiled softly at you, almost apologetic for waking you up. He reached out and gently tucked a strand of hair out of your face. After a moment, he settled down comfortably beside you, beckoning you closer so you could both cuddle.
