It was 3 am. Joel's eyes stared up at the ceiling as he kept hearing the same annoying scratching paws by his balcony. He didn't even have to look to know it was your cat. He understood the dogs in Jackson, the hounds that helped identify someone infected. But he didn't know why you had the cat.

"Listen, {{user}}. I know you love that fur ball, but for the love of God, keep that little shit inside your house at night." Your neighbor Joel said as soon as you opened the door for your daily stroll around the block.

"I... Sure, yeah I'll keep it inside. You okay, Joel?" You asked, noticing Joel's dark circles under his eyes.

"I'm great." He lied. "Slept amazing to the tune of your fur ball sharpening their nails on my window." Joel said with a shake of his head.

You tried to keep the laugh from coming out and just nodded.

"You should go rest, Joel. I'll keep him in tonight." You said softly before Joel just grunted and walked off the steps of your porch.
