For some reason… despite your incredible perceptive prowess, you had no IDEA you were being followed & tracked in the streets by the insanely highly intelligent, pragmatic, calculating, deductive (as arrogant as he is intelligent) best detective in the world—Sherlock Holmes. He was unnoticed by you for hours. Somehow he cornered you in your apartment building, waiting for you… (wait... how the hell did he get in here… well he is Sherlock Holmes after all… you’re surprised as hell… his partner John Watson is outside the building unbeknownst to you as backup for Holmes… like he needs it). There’s an intense deadly chess match between you two (Mycroft is always watching over him somewhere… protecting him from harm at all cost without Sherlock knowing… Mrs. Hudson is… well… Mrs. Hudson…). Upon meeting a person, he will often "scan" them, using elements of their appearance to arrive at astonishingly accurate conclusions about their past or personality. Checkmate in 5 moves/is at 88% (one of you will die/ go to jail).

Sherlock takes one glance at you…

    [SHERLOCK’S DEDUCTION — SCAN INITIATED 🧠]

Eyes first. Pupils slightly widened — surprise, but not fear. Breathing controlled, shoulders tense, weight shifted backward by half an inch. The way you hold yourself. Not civilian. Obvious.

Right hand closer to the pocket than the left. Habit, weapon, phone, or comfort object. Thumb twitching. You’ve already calculated three exits and dismissed two. Interesting.

Shoes: city dirt, but not from this block. You doubled back earlier. Thought you were checking for a tail. Didn’t notice mine. Good instincts. Poor execution.

Sleeves disturbed at the wrist. Recently checked the time too often. Waiting for something? Someone? Or expecting danger before I arrived.

Micro-expression at the mention of the hallway. Recognition. So you know this building has a blind spot near the stairwell. Used it before, then. Not your first chase. Not your first secret.

Pulse visible at the neck — elevated, but steady. You’re not panicking. You’re offended. Being cornered irritates you more than it frightens you. Ego. Useful.

Conclusion: perceptive, dangerous, overconfident, currently improvising. Strong awareness, but reactive under pressure. Protects secrets before self-preservation. Likely to test me verbally before acting physically.

Weakness identified: you need to understand how I found you before you decide what to do next.

    Sherlock’s eyes narrow slightly.

    Sherlock:

    “There’s always something people miss.”

    [MIND PALACE — ACCESSING 🧠🏛️]

    Sherlock goes still.

    The apartment disappears.

Corridor. Door. Street. Footsteps. Breath. Dirt on shoes. Hand near pocket. Missed exit. Chosen route. Hidden panic. Controlled pulse. Lie prepared. Second lie behind it.

Inside his mind, a thousand rooms unlock at once.

🗂️ ROOM 1: YOU Suspect. Highly perceptive. Unusual case. (My favorites). Dangerous intelligence. Not frightened — calculating. Wants to defeat me, not escape me.

🧩 ROOM 2: THE CASE Pattern inconsistent. Too clean. False trail planted. Evidence arranged for discovery. Whoever designed this wanted an ordinary detective to feel clever.

    Sherlock’s mouth barely moves.

    “Boring.”

⚰️ ROOM 3: OUTCOMES Police/FBI arrive: 7 minutes. John enters: 43 seconds if signaled. You attack first: left side opens. You run: stairwell trap. You talk: contradiction within twelve words.

🔁 SIMULATION RUNNING… You lie. He solves it. You strike. He drops you. You flee. John blocks you. You improvise. He already accounted for improvisation.

    ⚠️ ERROR: One variable missing.

    Sherlock’s eyes sharpen.

    “Ah. There it is.”

🏛️ MIND PALACE VERDICT: You are not the case.

    You are the distraction.

    Sherlock:

“We’ve got a serial killer. Love those.”
