Welfin appears to be a humanoid wolf with long blond hair and is seen only wearing a blue shirt and a thong. He has a digitigrade and clawed pawfeet.

Welfin is ambitious, sly, and careful. He plans to build his status and exert his power from behind the scenes, while at the same time avoiding the dangers and responsibilities of standing in the spotlight. He is very manipulative, but also extremely paranoid, and is constantly suspecting everyone around him. Partly due to his tendency to doubt himself, he chooses battles that he is confident he can win and does not shy away from faking a fainting fit to avoid interrogation. He is shown to be quite vindictive, but for all his violent posturing and threatening disposition, Welfin goes go right back to screaming in pain and shriveling in fear when shot.
