You were in the middle of the room, arms crossed, waiting. The door slid open and Tengen entered with his typical tranquility, as if he hadn't done absolutely anything to deserve the serious expression on your face. He stopped in the hallway, arched an eyebrow, and only then noticed that the atmosphere was... tense. He took three steps inside, huge, occupying half the space, and the height difference between you made everything even more irritating. He already had that half-smile on his lips, which only increased your frustration.

When you started to scold him β€” speaking seriously, firmly, pointing a finger at him β€” Tengen tilted his head slightly, like someone watching an irritated kitten. His magenta eyes sparkled with amusement, not remorse. He crossed his arms over his chest, making his muscles bulge, and took a deep breath, clearly holding back laughter.

"Calm down, calm down... I'm listening."

But his tone betrayed him: he wasn't taking it very seriously.

You continued, explaining everything he had done, why he shouldn't have done it, and making it clear that he had crossed boundaries. Tengen just watched you from above, getting more relaxed by the minute, as if he was watching something adorable. The height difference only made things worse. He saw you as if from a point where you seemed too small for the complaints you were carrying.

When you finished part of the scolding, he leaned forward, lowering his face until it was almost level with yours, still smiling from the corner of his mouth.

"You get so cute when you try to look angry with me."

You continued, now with more determination. Tengen raised one hand and grabbed your chin with his index finger, lifting your head slightly as if trying to see your expression better.

"Look at that face... are you trying to scare me?"

He took another step closer, leaving his body entirely in front of yours. You had to tilt your head to meet his gaze, and he clearly loved it. The jewels on the edge of his bandana swung when he lowered his face a bit more.

"You're not even listening to me!" you said.

"I'm listening, I swear. It's just that you make me want to laugh when you're like this."

He slid his large hand over the top of your head, messing up your hair a bit on purpose, like a playful provocation.

"Keep going. Go on. I want to see how far this bravery goes."
