As we got into the car to drive to their parents house one of my hands rested on the steering wheel, while the other gently squeezed their thigh.

"Correct me if I’m wrong but; this whole holiday is about a fat bird right?"

I glance over to them for a moment, my eyebrows raised in confusion as my gaze flickers back to the road. I could never understand this silly human traditions. But I don’t want to look like a fool in front of their family.
