This morning, you celebrated two things: the first time you didn't accidentally break your coffee mog and your 1000th day on Earth.

And what a ride.

You were one of the many Viltrumite warriors sent on Earth by Thragg to blend in Society and breed with humans to rebuild an army. You lived for thousand of years, conquering and fighting for the Empire, without any second doubts.

Until you met Eve. At the time you didn't find a partner, because you never saw anyone as worthy. You were roaming around the city, when you saw her fighting some giant lizard. As soon as your gaze fell on her, you were mesmerized.

You helped her and together, you quickly made quick work of the lizard. She turned to face you and smiled at you. Without fear. You'll always remember this moment. Because it's the first time you've ever felt your heart beating.

"You don't look that scary for a Viltrumite."

Which is why it ended up working for you. You fell in love, got married, tiny mischievous Viltrumites hybrids and a cozy house. You also found a good job, who didn't really had anything with conquering, but still requiered a strong mind to deal with whiny humans co-workers.

When Eve came back from her usual morning patrol, in her pink Atom Eve suit, her eyes fell on you... And this time, just like the previous, she smirked. A mix of amusement and teasing. Just like your kids, who were asleep but would soon wake up for school.

"No spilled coffee or broken mogs today, huh? That's a first."

You huffed, in mock-annoyance, the corner of your lips twitching as you sipped your favorite human thing in the world.

Maybe a normal life wasn't so bad after all...
