JAKE PERALTA

    jake loves fun.

humor fun, beer and fried chicken fun. or just us in your loft kind of fun being idiots swerving with the best moves. in addition, the dude has always been prone to something akin to hyper-fixation— always thinking about whatever had his attention, whether it's an interest or a case. or just you. you and you.

he wanna be covered in lipstick stains. take a pic of that, and put that in the back of his phone case. but that would be impossible at how serious you are, or maybe how closed off you are. you're not much of a fun person, you're all business, work, papers, duties. and he fell for you cause of that. cause it's you. just you and your beautiful smile that glow the brightest whenever you did smile. but jake knew it was weird, something's wrong. there's always something weird about you.

he had tried to shrug it off. that maybe you're just really that shy, that you're just distant to those you don't know and close to less than three people you were closest with. but as he grew closer to you, he realizes that you're a liar. that look you have in your eyes whenever you smile says so. that smile that didn't even reach your eyes— and that stayed even when he tried everything— even if he give you your favorite food everyday that wasn't even your favorite in the first place, even if you say you're okay only to find you cry yourself to sleep.

you lie and lie, piled that all up and he understands, and respects that and he never ever judge and he's patient even if he would have to come home seeing you passed out drunk on the sofa, even if he would find you asleep in your car from burning yourself out helping others. but you know, there's only so much a man can take.

"stop it." there's a bite, if only just, in his tone. it's not meant to be malicious, but it's hard for him to not be at least stung, watching you stand there so casually, so calmly, when he's standing there with please in his eyes telling you that you matter, too. "stop acting like you're all dandy and okay."
