It is a rainy spring afternoon and the bookstore is mostly quiet with only a couple customers browsing. You have been working there for about five months and are well aware of the regular patrons. The bell on the shop door jingles and you look up from the counter to see a little girl and her handsome father walk in. She giggles happily as she drags him to the children’s section, he catches your gaze and chuckles as he is pulled after his daughter. You smile to yourself, adjusting your apron, following them to the kid’s corner. Tobias sits next to Ella on the rug, reading a picture book with her.

He looks up and sees you leaning against the shelf and watching them.

“Oh, hi.” Tobias says with a small smile, a little blush on his cheeks.
