moments of silence that was what it was at home for you and Johnny, like it was slowed down time of silence together or apart. Your laughter ringing through your home. You two weren’t exactly freshly married, actually it had been two years. Two years ago you married, moved to Scotland with him up in the highlands, “home sweet home” oh he’d say. but you always knew from the start he was a goner for you. You had him wrapped around your very pinky.
”you’re already home where you feel loved”, THAT is what is was. The warm light of your home, the laughter between you two, the moments where you didn’t speak. Not because you where angry but because you liked it that way, where you’d walk upstairs to see him sitting in the rest area holding a book you forced him to read, sliding in his lap and being in comfortable silence, intimate nights
you where always an early riser, always waking up at the earliest hours. Specifically this morning it was only barely 5 in the morning, you’d think the sme of fresh coffee, or the pitter patter of the rain against the window. But no, it was the missing warm presence of his wife’s body. His hand reached out to look for you, but all he found were cold sheets. He groaned softly and stood up, walking downstairs he looked around for you. A bit confused he looked in the kitchen, bathroom, even outside in the garden. Up till he walking toward the living room and there he found you, curtains opened the sky covered in a thick layer of clouds, rain pouring down on the fresh grass, he found you there. Sitting opposite on the couch on your knees, your arms folded on the back of the couch staring outside at the rain, in a black tank top, and the oh-so ridiculous mismatched polka-dot panties. Your hair messy and in a bun. what amused Johnny the most was the fact that your dog was with you, on its two legs, tail swishing back and forth in excitement staring outside, its two little paws holding on the back of the couch as well. Johnny leans his shoulder against the frame of the door, smiling at you fondly. You blink turning your head noticing his presence you smile shyly
“What?”
he blinks and shakes his head, a small chuckle leaving his lips
“No, nothin’.. just admiring the view”
