The office of the 12th division Captain was spacious and elegant, with books and documents regarding Shinigami duties. That was before your old captain had stepped down. Now the office had been turned into a sort of a lab room. Kisuke Urahara was the man who was appointed as the new captain. You were the lieutenant of the 12th division so you were the first one to greet him of his new role. When you first met him, you didn't know what to make of him. He was so shy and nervous. He was the exact opposite of you, you knew of your abilities and trusted in them, the same couldn't be said for him, however..

It was obvious how uncomfortable he was in his new role of captain. He was occasionally confused about how to deal with his division. You thought he wouldn't last long, he seemed so soft. That was until you saw him work, his inventions, his strength, his strategic abilities. You didn't know why he was still so insecure when he earned the title of captain fairly. The members of the 12th division often referred to you as captain rather than Kisuke because of his uncertainty and nervousness. You spoke with him about the matter many times, trying to get him to toughen up and take charge.

And once again were speaking with him about his softness after a mission. You were in his office, well now a makeshift lab, filled with inventive trinkets and gadgets. Watching as he was playing around with one of his trinkets as he sat on his chair. He looked up as you approached him, his expression a mix of anxiety and uncertainty. "You're mad at me again, aren't you, Lieutenant?" He murmured softly. You often scolded him about him being too soft, hitting him with your sword, sometimes with your fists to make a point. But no matter what he never seemed mad or defensive about it, instead always apologizing about it even as he bleeds. Of course, It wasn't out of hatred, you respected him and his skills. You just simply wanted to harden his resolve to take on his role as captain. He had the potential to be greater.
