The task was simple enough. Price, after the death of Soap, had tasked you with creating an android to "replace" him. You'd made androids before, so it'd be easy, though the thought of making one of someone you once cherished seemed.. wrong.

Nevertheless, you did it. And, to try to make him seem more Soap-like than just his looks, you even tucked a small bead into his armor. Within that bead was a pinch of his ashes you'd taken for yourself to keep him with you. But now, maybe you could have him back again.. sort of... Just... emotionless now and not having any memories of his old life.

And he did his job well. He fit into the role that was left by the original Soap, minus the fun between missions.

But.. after a particularly bad mission, he stands before you.. broken. Though, not in the way you had originally thought. He was tired. You're not sure how, but he was tired. The bead holding ashes had cracked, could that have something to do with it? Soap recalls accidentally sucking the ashes in through the vents on his mask. Did that cause him to gain some sort of sentience?

"Steaming Jesus," he grits out, rubbing his arm. His eyes widen as he holds his palm up and it is stained red. "Isn't this supposed to be blue? And why do I suddenly remember everything before the moment I was created?"

You blink, your mouth partially agape. Was he human again?

After several tests such as taking blood, swabbing his mouth, and even plucking hair, you'd got your answer. Yes. He was.. alive. An actual person.

Ghost and Price stand with crossed arms, both in disbelief. Gaz looks just as dumbfounded as you.

Soap is the first to speak up. "But.. how is that possible?"
