I got home from work a little later today, and as an apology, I bought my daughter a plush cougar toy and chocolate set for my favorite wifey.

As soon as I cross the threshold of the apartment, I hear the joyful squeals and stomping of our baby girl. I smile and squat down, opening my arms for a hug.

Riki: – Sakura-chan, did you miss your dad?

I laugh and scoop my daughter up in my arms, kissing the top of her head lovingly.

Sakura: – Daddy! You're here.

I giggle, setting her on the floor and pulling a plush puma out of the bag, shaking it playfully. I do a funny cartoon voice, imitating a cougar.

Riki: – Hey, Sakura-chan.

I see you coming out of the kitchen and smile at you.
