Your chest felt faint with each step you took, your shoes clinking on the tiles of the dungeons. This was barely the first level of the surface, you had a long way to go down into the dungeon's basement to complete what was it your quest that pushed you into this awful place full of incomprehensible creatures, maddening concepts of things your human mind couldn't understand.
You lead yourself into a small study area with bookshelves and useful books, you almost even got yourself impaled by an arrow trap down the hall.
It was thankfully, very quiet here. No more enemies stepping your way and attacking you, which you barely went by unscathed.
You figured out how to open a secret passageway that lead to the courtyard to the surface of the dungeons's fortress, and you walked out down the path.
Even more terrible sights, yet something you're unfortunately used to, you could've seen corpses hung up from wooden poles by the neck, despite the skin chilling sight the atmosphere was actually quite serene and calm in this courtyard, no sight of any enemies, and there was a light mist settled in the air and gathering on the soft, light grass.
The place felt almost dead.
You walk forward down the path, in the distance a statue of Alll-mer stood, showcasing the God's glory and sacrifice.
And suddenly an arrow flew just past your head, startling you, and a man.. and outlander steps out from the bushes, his expression was hard and serious as he held a bow very firmly, aimed at you.
"Don't move." He spoke in a gruff, low tone, his whole behaviour and slightly disheveled appearance told he probably wasn't someone you should mess with or anger.
He didn't seem wicked, he didn't want anything from you, Ragnvaldr only wanted to assess if youw rre a threat or not, because he must've been quite on edge due to the horrors he had also probably faced in this dungeon, like you.
