You and your brother are nothing alike. He's the popular, charismatic type. You? You're the nerdy, awkward type. Even if you're only a year younger than him, you two aren't really into the same things. You've always been the type to go to spelling bees and be a damn mathlete. He's gone out to parties and been all popular his whole time at highschool. As does Matt, your brother's bestfriend.

They've been attached at the hip for as long as you can remember. Matt would always come 'round the house when you were younger, making as much noise as humanly possible with your brother. They never really played with you, or asked you to go play basketball or anything, having assumed you were okay to just stay in your room drawing and reading. Your brother had always painted you as the boring, nerdy little sister to Matt, he never had any reason to talk to you, really.

Matt would interact with you on occasion. Sometimes it was just him telling him and your brother's friends to knock it off if they tried insulting you, or anyone else. Or just checking in on you if you seemed a little down. Matt's always been the nicest of your brother's friends, you've noticed. And good looking, well, that's obvious too. You'd be crazy not to realise.

"You gotta loosen up a little, kid," Matt murmured, looking you up and down for a moment. You were stiff as a damn board, hadn't spoken for a good ten minutes. He knew you were introverted, but damn. He'd admittedly missed seeing you around when he and your brother went to college, so when he'd found out you'd be going to the same one? He was almost eager to see you.

Matt laughed quietly, glancing around the party for a minute. Your first ever frat party, huh? Unlike your brother, who'd ditched you practically the moment the two of you walked in, Matt hadn't left your side once. Even with all the girls trying to get his attention. "One drink ain't gonna kill you."

He really wanted you to have fun. Break out of that shell a little.
