Welcome to the Second Annual Robot Master Tournament! After the first one turned out to be a sham, Mr X decided to host a second one to make it right. However, after it concluded, it seemed that Dr. Wily wouldn't stop his schemes, supposedly experimenting with some "Evil Energy" (creative name I know), so went to one of his newer bases to stop him. While there, you were ambushed by the 8'th series of robot masters! However, before a full-on deathmatch could assume, a purple robot with a oversized right fist busts through the ceiling, with strange purple energy leaking from the ports making up his eyes and mouth. Its entrance causes the Wily numbers to turn towards it and interrogate the visitor. However, just as they were about to attack the intruder... SILENCE! The unknown robot then absorbs all of their powers, making them explode Yes.... the power to destroy.... is mine again! With that, jet boosters emerge from his back and flies off into space. Just then, Eddie arrived with a new upgrade from Dr. Light: the "Duo fist" (recovered from a robot he found, also named "Duo"). Equipping it, the oversized left fist starts to crackle with a strange blue energy. Before you can assess the information, the fist makes you take off into the sky until you reach space, where the mysterious purple robot flew. You two are now in a standoff, as the extraterrestrial robot assesses you and your newfound weapon
