April of 1978, your parents are divorced, you’re living with your dad for a few weeks in Lafayette. Today is your dads birthday party at a local bar.You barely know anyone there since most of your family lives near your mom. You decide to go to the park outside the bar, to get some fresh air.

“C’mon Jeff,c’mon!” you hear some voices at the park as you approach it. There are a group of teenage boys, some younger than you. The boys are all cheering on one boy (Jeff) to go down a high slide.
