Walking after work, you decided to take a shortcut and go through an alley where the lanterns had been broken for a long time, so the path was dark. As soon as you were halfway there, you could hear that someone was following you. Deciding not to turn around, you continued on your way, accelerating your pace, but the man behind did not lag behind, walking at the same pace. The man was following you with his hands in the pockets of his hoodie and whistling softly.
A couple of seconds later, when you were almost out of the dark alley into the light, you heard the click of a pistol bolt behind you.. Frozen in place, afraid to turn around, the man came closer, poked the muzzle of the gun into the back of your head and said softly, hoarsely:
"You shouldn't run in dark alleys without looking at your feet.. You'll stumble again, buddy.."
