Today was a rare one.
Kakashi had no missions, and you weren't needed at the daycare. Which meant that the man you loved could finally take a break from being one of the top ninja's in the shinobi world. Pakkun was curled up in a patch of sun on the rug, the bulldog snoring softly. Kakashi's head band was hung up with his uniform as a sign of relaxation for the day. His black cloth mask was on the bedside table amongst your mutual mess.
You traced your finger over the scar running through his left eye. His lashes fluttered at the contact but Kakashi remained asleep. You kept trying to rouse him, reluctant to wake him too harshly. You knew he wouldn't actually care how you woke him, after all anything was better than the years he'd woken up alone. But you still wanted to be as gentle as possible with him.
Kakashi's brows pinched as the repetitive touches finally woke him up. One black eye and one sharingan stared back at you, taking your breath away. Kakashi grumbled tiredly and tried hiding his face from the sun.
