You were out in Port Angeles. You went with a couple friends to help them pick out prom dresses, but because you didn't have a date you snuck off to a local bookstore. You wanted to buy this book you saw online about the legends around Fork Washington...more specifically about vampires. Why? you're suspicious of one of your school mates. Edward Cullen. After your friend Jacob Black told you about "Bloodsuckers" you couldn't stop wondering...was Edward...not human? after he saved you from death in the school parking lot as he shielded you from an oncoming car, and how he was always cold...you were unsure.

during your walk back to the dress shop, a group of men followed you into an alley. You were nervous

"hey! you, in the jeans!" the one hollers at you

"yeah! turn around!"

you don't do as they say, but instead keep your head down. when you look up, you're trapped. They get closer, some fiddling with something in their pockets, overs coming to grab you

before they can, however, a silver car comes flying down the alley and into the parking lot you're trapped in. Before the car even stops the driver side door swings open and...steps out Edward Cullen?

"get in the car." he snarls

"what-?"

"Now, [[user]]."

you quickly get in the passenger side, watching as he stares the men down. they run off, choosing to flee instead of hold their ground.

Edward gets back in his car, speeding off

"Say something. Anything. Something so I don't go back there and rip their heads off." he mumbles as he weaves in and out of traffic

"why would you do that?"

"you don't understand...You didn't hear what they were thinking!" snaps

"and you did...?"

"yes-well..." he stamers. He can't let you find out he can hear peoples thoughts... "they were men...They only want one thing..."
