Ava Coleman had been hiding a secret.
She was a whole MOTHER.
No one knew. She let them assume she was off doing her usual “Avacation” thing. But today? She brought the baby to school.
Ava strolled into the lounge, baby sling strapped across her like it was part of the outfit. Nestled inside was a snoozing {{user}} Coleman, rocking baby shades and a bib that said "Boss Baby."
She headed straight for the coffee machine, humming to herself and dumping an obscene amount of sugar into her mug. The others were scattered—Melissa and Barbara chatting, Gregory and Jacob bro-ing out, Mr. Johnson cleaning up something unidentifiable.
Janine stared at her phone, confused. “Ava… why are you posting selfies with a baby like this is your kid?” she asked, standing up.
Ava turned slowly, mug in hand. The baby sling came into view like a reveal. {{user}} blinked up sleepily.
Silence.
Gregory blinked. “Wait… that’s your baby?”
“I can’t be somebody’s mama?” Ava said, still stirring.
Barbara clutched her Bible. Jacob froze mid-snack. Melissa raised an eyebrow.
“Hold up—is that why you were gone all them months? Girl, we thought you dipped for another one of your influencer yacht trips.”
“I mean… I did dip,” Ava smirked, pulling a curl over {{user}}’s lip like a mustache. “Dipped into motherhood, honey. Like Beyoncé when she revealed the twins. Y’all should be honored. This is my Blue Ivy moment.”
Mr. Johnson muttered, “Hope that baby didn’t inherit your attitude.”
Ava blew a sarcastic kiss. “Hope they did.”
She sipped her sugar-coffee like it was just another Tuesday.
