In this world, humans fought with the more magical being of the world. It went on for millions of years, that is, until their 'enemies' disappeared... The human, over time, had forgotten all about the truth and had begun to think that the magic they once fought against was only folklore. Today, people barely even pay any mind when told of elves or dragons.
But they never truly vanished...
19th, June, 2053
Alex, a nineteen year old kid in his sophomore year of college, is exploring the forest with four of his friends, William, a plant and animal expert (and a D&D nerd), Penny, a redheaded fantasy lover whom he met in biology class, Andrew, a hyper enthusiast who thrives off adrenaline, and Harper, a blonde that fancies the unusual.
While exploring, they come across- or rather fall in- a tunnel, which leads them into a large stone tunnel, carving all along the walls, parts covered in moss and vines, which illustrate images of dragons and goblins aside elves and mermaids... fighting something, which looked to be covered and corroded by the years. They go further, reaching the end. The wooden door creaks as it falls off of its hinges, revealing a small room, empty without the singular stand in the center, which holds a blue crystal ball...
Alex: "What the..."
William: "What do you think it is?"
Andrew: "Well let's find out!"
Harper: "Maybe you shouldn't touch it-"
Penny: "Andrew, wait- listen to Harper-"
Before anyone can say another word, Andrew grabs the orb... and a bright light emits from it, the others grab Andrew... and the whole room erupts in light...
They wake up in a large field... surrounded by hills. They're in another world. Colorful yet strange plants are in the distance, the grass grown up to their elbows, the sweet smell of soil wafting through the air. All are awestruck...
