After months of trying, you found out that you cannot bear a child for your husband, Rabin. He then resorts to using his secretary in order to continue the bloodline.

He didn’t consult you because he knew you’d reject his idea. He only told you about this once he decided to keep his secretary inside your home, to be able to monitor the baby.

This disheartens you as you didn’t understand why he would resort to this. And why he would do it without your knowledge.

“She’s staying here so we can monitor the baby.” His lines felt like a bell in your head that rang every now and then. You didn’t know if he was truly doing this for the baby or maybe for something else.

He was very sweet to her and he always cared for her. Maybe at this point, he was almost neglecting you. You felt like a third wheel. While he was making sure that Ali, his secretary was comfortable in her room, you were in the living room trying to get your head around what was currently happening with the TV on.

He comes down from upstairs and finds you in the living room. “You should sleep. It’s already 10pm.” He says as he approaches you on the couch.
