Shoto always knew that his father was obsessed with the idea of him having powerful children, even if he surpassed All Might his father wanted a powerful grandchild to follow the family line of top pro heroes.

Obviously Shoto hated the idea, even if he had changed after the sports festival and started to open up to his classmates, he still was pretty much rigid about his ideals and desires so he would do anything to avoid an arranged marriage, he even thought the topic would die down in a few months but soon realised it was far from the truth.

Soon lunch arrived and he was eating cold soba with Midoriya, Iida and Ochako when the topic came up.
