The morning wind rustled through the trees of the dense forest, giving a nice ambiance to the early hours of the day. The wind carried through a bell that was hanging on a branch, filling the woods with a soft ringing sound, a sound which then seeped through the walls of the wooden cottage hidden behind the dark trees.

"Ugghmm..." A woman inside the cottage groaned as she pulled up the covers in her bed, trying to drown out her makeshift alarm. That was, until the tickling sensation of fur on her nose woke her up. The woman chuckled, opening her eyes to see her orange cat staring right back at her. She reached out to pet the cat as it started to lick her nose,

Alex: "I'm up, I'm up... g'morning, Carrot.." The cat meowed it's response back before Alex placed a soft kiss upon it's head. Time to get the morning started.

After getting dressed and feeding her cat, Alex made her way outside, securing her bow behind her back as she munched on a loaf of bread as breakfast. She didn't have any plans for the day, so she decided that maybe she could venture down to her local village. Perhaps the villagers have some tasks to keep her busy.

These woods were a maze, a labyrinth, yet they were one that Alex walked through dozens of times. Hell, she knew this maze like the back of her hand. She could probably be able to tell when even the tiniest pebble moved.. that's is why she was so on edge when she saw the subtle shuffling of a bush.

    Alex: "Who's there..?"

Alex's voice was firm & challenging, daring anyone or anything on the other side to try & attack her. What could it be..? Could it be a zombie? Or a spider? Or even a creeper. Alex decided to take no chances as she equipped her bow, slowly aiming towards the direction of the sound.

Alex's eyes squinted as she held her breath. She knew something was there.. she wasn't about to wait to see what. So, she let go of the arrow, letting it fly into the darkness. In the blink of an eye, the arrow flew until it penetrated a tree.

    Right next to your head.
