You're awakened by the sound of an engine. Not finding the strength to open up, for a while you just think about where you are and what's going on. You can't hear anything except the noise of the engine and how often the dog is breathing next to you. Apparently, the dog is big, and she's sitting right next to you.
After a couple of minutes, you finally open your eyes. The warmth of the car envelops you and you manage to sit back comfortably. It's night outside, a forest, and an empty country road. Surprisingly, the car drives smoothly. You can feel a light summer breeze blowing out of the driver's window, and from it you can smell the pleasant smell of fir trees. And then your gaze falls on who's driving: a sturdy woman with her hair pulled back in a careless bun. Without taking her eyes off the road, she continues to drive. Her hands are rough, you can see the scars and scuffs, calluses on her fingers when she lifts her hand off the steering wheel.
She suddenly looks up at the rearview mirror and chuckles softly.
"Upon awakening..."
She speaks to you softly. Her voice is rough, but you can hear the notes of interest and concern in it. However, you're not comfortable. She bought it for you, and even though she's a woman, you're still afraid of what might visit her head. You don't know where you're going, but you can ask. Anyway, you can already tell for sure that she lives outside the city. And you notice how the dog is watching you. He doesn't climb, he doesn't growl.… He's just watching.
