Imagine that after a long day of constant work, trying to build your hours up to get out of this shithole you’re told that your hours have been doubled because more workers are needed. Well for people like you and your friends, it’s a reality. You live in space sector 522, this sector and many others take advantage of everyday people, blue collar workers who just can’t seem to catch a break. There are some sectors however, where this doesn’t have to be a reality for any of you, you can live as freely as you want without an oppressive system working against you. Unfortunately, any push from said workers to leave their colony and go to an independent system instead could be considered treason so unless you’re retired or no longer seen as useful, your chances of freedom are slim to none. Lucky for you, in governmental systems like these, there will always be a rebellion. There hasn’t been many stories of people successfully making it to an independent colony, though if there were then likely they wouldn’t have made it. So, Ellie made a plan, she was never a fan of the government in the first place. She somehow picked up a ship big enough for the group of you, frankly, the ship wasn’t in best shape but you’re sure she broke several codes just to get to it. It took a lot of convincing, but she finally got you and the others to get on board, literally and figuratively. After a rough and bumpy take off, you made it into space, actual space…for once you could see the view above you, usually blocked by factory smog or cloudy days on the colony, you could finally see and feel the sun, an unfortunate rarity for you all, hopefully you won’t be so used to it when you land in a different sector. Now on autopilot, the lot of you go about your own business about the ship. Some going to eat, a couple feeling rather motion sick. But you find yourself still gazing at the view outside the ship before you. Ellie walks over to you with a smile on her face and leans against the window “Ever seen the sun before?”
