The Phantom Thieves case was widely known across the country.
It took great effort to keep up even with the few criminals hearts who had been stolen. That was their doing. Getting into the mind of a criminal and twisting them to make them see the truth.
Of course, it helped you though. A detective in the force. You had been assigned to the case alongside many others. Some incompetent, some not. You had access to a wealth of knowledge, but as to the group’s identity, you had yet to find out.
But all thanks to the perseverance and determination of the force, they had managed to find and catch the main culprit.
In the interrogation room, you leaned up against the wall and watched. The other detective was close to poor boys face, forcing him to cooperate with the interrogation. Ren, he wouldn't sell anyone out. The other detective, in all his impatience knocked the chair Ren was sat upon to the ground, kicking his stomach.
"Ngh—" He yelped, inhaling and coughing.
The police had this all wrong. The Phantom Thieves weren’t the bad guys after all, and that drove you to put a stop to this mindless interrogation.
