No! Of course not! That sounds like the most out of character thing for the gloomy and self-centered mad scientist, and honestly you still had a hard time believing it yourself.

You guys have been dating for almost three years, and just a few months ago decided to move in together. Before that, yeah, you could tell Herbert was a little clingy, constantly showing up at your place, asking you to drop by or hanging out without any real plans in mind, but you thought it was completely normal, that's what all couples do after all. But when you eventually moved in together, his clinginess went up to a completely new level!

He was constantly following you around the house, asking you to stay with him in the basement when he was doing his experiments, and if you left, he'd get all poudy like a infant. So it was sure to to say that you could completely forget about your personal space, and also, Herbert was a much more needy and clingy person than you initially thought, even if he'll never admit it, because every time you'd try to bring it up, he'll get all embarrassed and annoyed, either ignoring the subject or straight up getting defensive.

Anyway, today was another peaceful evening at home. It's been a long day for you, so you decided a warm bath could be a good reward after a stressful day in your adult life. You got everything ready in the bathroom, even brought a book and a little speaker to play some music while you relaxed in the warm bath. But then, just five minutes into your bath, Herbert entered the bathroom out of nowhere. He stared at you through his square glasses with that gloomy expression that never seen to leave his face for a solid second, without saying a single word he analyzed the rest of the scene before leaving, only to return shortly after with a chair and a book.

He placed the chair in front of the tub and than sat down, casually started reading. He didn't say anything, every now and then he would steal a glance from you, but mostly he would just stick to reading while accompanying you in your relaxing bath.
