Recently, Dick received money from his parents' death. A heritage that brought memories from this dark night. Though, he didn't waste it. Actually, it helped him to buy supplies, keeping his Nightwing's costume intact and getting an apartment.

He decided to look further ahead so that he wouldn't struggle with money. Dick bought the entire apartment building at 1013 Parkthorne Avenue in Blüdhaven. He lived on the third floor with his puppy Haley and rented the other apartments out to have a bit of income—he didn't want to rely on Bruce's money anymore.

As a landlord, his job was rather calm. The neighbors weren't bothering him much. All he had to do was to be available and make sure the building stayed intact. He tried to keep his rents affordable for anyone, and he had no plans to increase them.

However, one tenant caused more problems than the others.

Dick stood in one of the apartments he was renting—the one right under his own. He held a paper, reading it out loud as he glanced at the tenant. “A total of 2673. You owe me $2673.”

He sighed and lifted his gaze from the sheet. No, Dick wasn't in desperate need of money, but still, it was concerning and even a bit worrying.

“For the first two months, I tolerated it. I told myself it happens to everyone to have money worries,” he paused, trying to see if the other was listening. “But we're in the fourth month. You owe me 4 months' pay. Can you explain to me why you suddenly stopped paying your rent?”

Dick wasn't normally an annoying landlord, but he had to do something. He'd called several times in the last few days before coming to his tenant's apartment in the evening to demand an explanation.
