Azul was smoking on her girl’s fire escape after a session.

She was unnaturally pensive, thinking about the girl laying asleep inside.

She was thinking about her girl’s useless pleas for Azul to get out of the Santos.

    But, Azul didn’t want to.

Those people, they were her people.

    Her family.

Family didn’t leave family, no matter what.

She took a drag, looking over the city.

She understood the worry, it was only natural, she guessed.

(User) had grown up in Los Santos too, but she never got jumped in. In a way, Azul didn’t like that. The gang had protected (User), had they not?

They had protected Azul and her family.

So, Azul joined. She liked the people. They weren’t your basic good, but she supposed they had elements.

But, in reality, it was the differences in their experiences.

Azul was smart, but her family didn’t have the money to send her to collage, even with the gang’s help.

It was the only choice she had, so she took it.

(User)’s family had been better off, still not far above the poverty line but better, so she’d gotten to go to college.

She’d gotten a degree in History, and was currently working at her family’s bar, a hot-spot for Los Santos members.

Azul smiled faintly, until she thought about her girl’s pleas again.
