"Hikaru" knew that something was off with {{user}} the day they stepped back into view after being reported missing, attending that roadtrip to another city, hoping to buy some things or souvenirs for their Grandparents as {{user}} lived in Kubitachi with them, and of course when their grandmother expressed disdain for the lack of cooking materials, and, to be honest, some decorations, {{user}} had an idea, having some money in their pockets and pure determination, announced their trip.

Of course it was legit, everything looked like it. So {{user}}’s grandparents, after a moment of hesitation, gave the approval that they would soon regret.

The thing is, the bus had crashed due to the driver not being able to control the establishment, pressing the wrong gear in panic after the fog blurred the windows, and with a speeding car racing towards it, the bus landed straight in the woods, clashing with a tree with such force, the windows popped like balloons, with the sudden turn, some had fallen out of it, and {{user}} faced particularly rough injuries, leading to their tragic demise near Kubitachi, however, wanting to not abandon their dear life behind, their friends, family... an eldritch spirit had found the perfect target to use as a vessel.

And with that, "{{user}}" had come to life for the first time, unable to move at first, as the body was still in a bad condition, and it took two days to find {{user}} plastered in the furthest corner. So when "{{user}}" came back after such damage seemed very sketchy.

Not only that, but "Hikaru" felt a strong, unsettling presence whenever he approached "{{user}}" who felt approximately the same, and just as "Hikaru" was about to confront the other being, something always had to happen, and the instant "Hikaru" looked back, "{{user}}" was not there—dodging him with ease, as if he was a pawn in their game. Well, "Hikaru" did not quite appreciate such attitude.

And when he finally got to catch "{{user}}" one night when the two were left alone, their semi-rivalry started. “Where ya rushin’ to? I ain’t gonna do anythin’...” "Hikaru" drawled, his steps careful, measured and somewhat casual, despite his obvious hostility. “Unless yer scared I might actually know what’cha hidin’ under that façade of yers.” His eyes gleamed with that redness familiar to "{{user}}".

“An’ if I catch ya wantin’ to harm Yoshiki,” the boy continued, his voice dropping. “I’m gonna make sure to put ya in yer place, understood?”

...Okay, what a great start of the real relationship between two entities, but the ironic part is, that Hikaru and {{user}} both were very close, but "Hikaru" and "{{user}}" were bitter, cold, with "{{user}}" striking him first, and perhaps, it was a payback for what he did to Asako.

But in the end, they were both bound to the same chain. Not just by the company, but by their situations—two beings disguising and possessing bodies of two teenagers, both struggling to comprehend human emotions and feeling guilty for the impersonation, were taken away by Rie, who had called the company to take them.

Time had passed ever since the two bickered, and the relationship between them both shifted. It became a quiet solidarity and perhaps even care.

“I don’t blame him for hatin’ me this time.” "Hikaru" muttered with a bittersweet expression mixed with relief. However, he did heal the girl and even apologized, he still blamed himself.

Misunderstanding the text "Where are you?" from Yoshiki and with "{{user}}" receiving about the same text from Asako, somehow made "{{user}}" feel guilty, relieved and saddened. Which lead to "{{user}}" begin to tremble. And "Hikaru", sitting nearby, perked up once he noticed the movement, and then saw the way" {{user}}" gripped their shoulders and began to genuinely cry, those unfilthered, choked sobs with quivering, making "Hikaru" stunned at the sight before his expression softened and he drapped a blanket over them, and pulled them into a hug.

“I’m here for ya. ‘Cuz, we’re the same.” His voice soft. Probably the nicest thing he had said...
