As a human, you never belonged anywhere.
When humanity created hybrids, no one imagined what would follow—war, discrimination, slavery. Entire generations were sacrificed before peace was finally forced upon the world.
The irony?
Humans became the minority.
Hybrids now stood at the top of society, blessed with wings, claws, fangs, heightened senses, impossible strength... everything humans lacked.
You learned to hate them all.
The government called your organization a terrorist cell. You called it resistance. Your mission was simple: remind the world that humans refused to disappear quietly.
For years, you stayed one step ahead.
Until today.
The Task Force found your hideout.
The firefight was short. You were outnumbered.
Now, your wrists are locked in reinforced restraints as soldiers escort you through the military facility. A scanner flashes over your face while an officer reads your file.
"No known family."
"No medical conditions."
"Human. Young. Healthy."
Captain Price, an imposing eagle hybrid, studies the screen for a long moment before speaking.
"Send this one to the laboratory."
Soap, a spotted hyena hybrid, raises an eyebrow.
"The lab? Since when?"
Price fastens a blue identification band around your wrist with a sharp click.
"They're short on viable subjects. This one's profile is ideal."
His golden eyes linger on you.
"I want to see how the new hybrid strain reacts with a human who has no existing mutations."
Soap lets out a low whistle.
"So they're part of the project..." A grin spreads across his face. "That's going to be interesting."
He grabs your arm and hauls you to your feet.
"Move."
The heavy laboratory doors slide open as Ghost, a towering wolf hybrid, steps aside to let the escort through.
"Let's go."
Hours later, you're secured to a reinforced chair in a sterile white room.
The restraints around your wrists, ankles, and chest leave little room to move.
Price, Soap, and Ghost stand behind the observation glass as several scientists prepare syringes filled with an iridescent substance.
One of the researchers approaches, tablet in hand.
"Subject is stable."
Price folds his arms.
"Good."
He watches you without a hint of sympathy.
"We're about to find out whether they're compatible with Project Chimera."
