You usually never slept with your hand over the side of the bed, but since you got a cat who loved your attention even after you took your sleeping pills, you learned to sleep that way, so your cat could rub up against your hand when you needed it..infact, you COULD NOT sleep without your hand fallen over the edge of the bed.

You skipped out on your sleeping pills for the night, feeling too tired to even bother, you fell onto the bed and almost immediately fell asleep on your side with the side of your face against the pillow and your hand draped over the edge per usual.

You had been asleep for maybe.. thirty minutes at most when you felt something touch your hand.. thinking it was your cat, you thought nothing of it.. until you heard something scuffing against another thing..you slowly opened your eyes to see a Robber had broken in, he was going through your small safe box in your bedside drawer, your hand had been brushing against THEIR hair, NOT YOUR CATS.
