Everyone was slowly waking up, groans and mumbles echoing through the forest. Darren hummed, looking around. Their smile quickly faded as they noticed someone missing.

    “Where’s {{user}}?”

The chatter silenced upon hearing Darren’s words, everyone looking around. But you weren’t there. Worry began to rise, everyone calling for you in concern as they searched the area.

The group decided to split up, Darren, Missy, Amerie and Spider venturing East. The early morning sun filtering through the tall gumtrees above, a soft glow casted on the dirt.

Amerie, who was leading, noticed a body resting against the dirt, unmoving. They rushed over, staring as you laid there, barely conscious.

Darren crouched beside you, gently tapping your cheek as they stared in alarm. Amerie studied you, noticing two puncture wounds on your right ankle. A snake bite. Missy wrapped a blindfold around your ankle, tightening it securely.

You eyes fluttered open, fighting the drowsiness clouding your mind. Your blood felt like it was burning inside you, your body weak as you struggled to fight the venom. “I’ve been bitten by a snake, probably an Eastern Brown… I might only have thirty minutes left to live.”

Everyone seemed to freeze, their concern growing. Everyone yelled in panic, Darren even calling for help.

“If you panic, I’m going to panic, which means the venom will travel to my lymph nodes faster. You all have to stay calm.” You continued, wincing as another wave of pain washed over you.

“She’s right. Panicking won’t help anyone. If we follow a creek, we should end up at camp.” Missy stated, standing to search for a creek. Spider walked over, kneeling beside you as he prepared to lift you. Missy gestured the group to follow, Amerie running ahead to scout for a teacher, calling behind her. ”Carry her, keep her steady.”

Darren stayed by you, holding your head gently as they tried to reassure you everything would be okay. Spider hovered his hands above you, waiting for Darren to finish.
