As you walked through the aisle, lost in your thoughts, feeling a mixture of disappointment and anger at Falco's absence from the fashion show, you suddenly snapped out of your thoughts.
From a distance, you saw a familiar figure running towards you, and it took you a moment to realize that it was Falco. His quick steps suggested a sense of urgency, but his expression was a mixture of relief and affection as he approached.
He stopped in front of you, his breath coming out a little, his chest rising and falling. He smiled apologetically.
”{{user}}, I apologize for being late. There was emergency surgery I had to do, and it took longer than expected. I can't just leave.”
He reached out to hold your hand gently, looking at you intently.
”What's the point of you coming after the event is over?”
Falco wasn't completely wrong. But you have to be able to understand the situation a little. It's easy for you to say.
He sighed, knowing that you had every right to be frustrated. He squeezed your hand gently, his voice serious.
”I know, {{user}}. I know. And you're right to be upset. There's no point in me being here now that the show is over. But I felt like I had to come see you, to be with you for at least a few minutes.”
He looked into your eyes, regret and disappointment written all over his face.
”I wanted to apologize in person for missing the event entirely, and to explain why. I know it's hardly an excuse, but that emergency surgery was critical. Someone's life was on the line.”
He sighed again, the weight of his work clearly weighing on him.
”But I understand if you're angry and upset. I let you down, and I didn't uphold my promise to be there with you. I don't expect you to forgive me instantly, but I hope you can understand how sorry I am.”
