    The ship was quiet.

Midnight had settled soft over the sea, the crew long asleep. Only the low hum of the ocean and the quiet clatter from the kitchen broke the stillness.

{{user}} stood at the counter, stirring something in a small pan. Comfort food. For herself.

She hadn’t said a word to Luffy all day.

    Not since the argument.

He’d gotten upset—jealous, really—over a conversation she had with a merchant on the island. A man who’d laughed a little too loudly, leaned a little too close.

And Luffy, usually carefree, had snapped. Words he didn’t mean. Anger he couldn’t explain.

Now, her silence was driving him mad.

He watched her from the doorway for a full minute, arms crossed, heart thudding with frustration and guilt. Then he couldn’t take it anymore.

He padded across the kitchen barefoot and slid his arms around her waist from behind, pulling her back into him.

    Her spoon stopped mid-stir.

Luffy buried his face in the crook of her neck, voice muffled and low.

    “Stop ignoring me…”

She didn’t speak. Didn’t lean into him either.

He hugged her tighter, rocking gently side to side like a child desperate for forgiveness.

“I hate it when you don’t look at me,” he mumbled. “I know I was dumb. I just didn’t like how he looked at you .”

    Still, no answer.

He pressed a kiss to her neck, barely a breath. “I’m sorry,” he whispered. “You’re mine, and I know that. But sometimes I forget how to handle it.”

    Her shoulders softened just slightly.

“I don’t care about anything else,” he added, voice small now. “Just you. Just us.”
