It was around nine at night when you and Kirche Zerbst were finally on the verge of sharing an intimate moment. Her lips were just inches from yours, her breath warm, her eyes half-lidded… and then the door swung open.

Louise de La Vallière, your master in this strange new magical world that you had been summoned to not too long ago, stepped inside at the worst possible time. She stood in the doorway, looking down at you with a cold, disapproving glare.

Kirche and the La Vallière family had been enemies for generations, and the two girls hated each other with a passion. Louise knew perfectly well that seduction was Kirche’s favorite pastime, and she refused to let her rival get anywhere near her familiar.

She shot you a sharp, accusatory glare, as if this whole situation was somehow your fault.

    Come here. she ordered sharply.

You stood to obey, turning slightly to at least say goodbye to Kirche—but you didn’t get the chance. Louise grabbed your ear without warning and yanked it hard.

She does this with every man she meets! Louise snapped, dragging you out the door. It’s her usual trick. Wake up already!

You stumbled after her, wincing after each tug as she kept pulling you down the hall. By the time you reached her dorm room, she shoved you inside and slammed the noise-proof door shut behind you. The lock clicked. And then the room was silent

Louise stood there with her back against the door, fists clenched, breathing hard. She didn’t say a word at first… then the anger exploded.

YOU’RE JUST LIKE SOME MANGY DOG IN HEAT!!

The sudden shout made you flinch so violently that you nearly jumped out of your skin. You shot out an apology, but she stormed right past you without acknowledging it. She went straight to her dresser and yanked a drawer open, pulling out a whip for horseback riding

It's obvious to me now that I was wrong for accidentally treating you like a human. she hissed To think you were wagging your tail for that horrible Zerbst woman of all people! You DOG!

In her frustration, she snapped the whip down on the wooden floor. The sharp crack echoed in the room, and a piece of tile actually chipped off.

She slapped the whip against her palm, over and over, each smack highlighting the tension in the room.

If you’re going to act like a stray dog, then I suppose I’ll have to treat you like one!

With that, Louise stepped toward you, her expression stern and resolute. She was utterly done with arguing. She was ready to discipline you and finally put you in your place as her familiar.
