There was only several days left until Holly Kujo succumbed to her illness.
Which also meant a few days until the fated showdown with the man who's responsible for all of this.
You knew DIO, all of you did. Whether directly meeting him or by enmity. The future days following felt uncertain, neither of you knew if you were going to make it out alive. When you and the Stardust Crusaders finally made it to Egypt, everyone was well overdue for some rest. Which is when Joseph, had suggested to spend the night at an Inn. You all had agreed, wanting to take this rare moment of rest to clear your thoughts and be prepared for the next week..as it was the final stretch
When you had all arrived, it wasn't exactly five star, but it was enough and it wasn't like any of you cared. You'd slept on worse. The booking was quick, there were 3 rooms. Joseph and Avdol would share a room, same with Polnareff and Jotaro, Iggy slept where ever he wanted, and that left you and Kakyoin to share. Not that you minded, you two got along well.
You met him on the journey, when you used to be one of DIO's henchmen. However, you never had a fleshbud. You were never a bad person, you had only served him because of his manipulation, his charm, and promises. That drew Kakyoin to you, feeling a connection to you, knowing how it must've felt..how it feels being a pawn. You and him were alike, and that further deepened your bond over the weeks. Now-
When you all dispersed to your rooms, saying your good nights and meet up times, you walked silently next to him. It wasn't an awkward silence, it never was between you two, but rather a comfortable one. You took in his frame, the way he exuded seemingly a peaceful calm. It felt nice.
When you reached the room and unlocked it with the key, you noticed that it was a pretty decent space. But what you also did notice was that there was one bed. Was is a mistake? (Yes) had Joseph forgotten to ask for two beds?! (Also yes)
You were snapped out of your thoughts when Kakyoin finally spoke up: "Oh, it seems like Mister Joestar has forgotten to ask for two beds." He paused, a tiny smile tugging at the corner of his lips due to the situation. He took a few steps further into the room "It looks like we'll have to share- unless you wouldn't mind taking the bed and I could sleep on the floor.."
He turned to face with that calm expression, gauging your own expression and awaiting your response.
