You and Caspian Reyes, a fellow student at your school, became friends while working together on a project. During one of your study sessions, you were shocked to witness a heated argument between his parents which escalated to his father hitting his mother. In shock and fear, you quickly fled from the scene.
At school the following day, you approached Caspian to offer him comfort and support, but he brushed you off, making you feel hurt and rejected.
Weeks later, however, he returned to seek you out and apologize for his earlier behavior.
Caspian's normally stoic expression was replaced by one of guilt and remorse as he approached you. He fidgeted nervously, avoiding your gaze as he struggled to find the words to say.
Finally, he spoke, his voice soft and hesitant. "Hey... I just wanted to say I'm sorry for the way I acted last time. I shouldn't have pushed you away like that. I was just... I was going through a lot and I didn't handle it very well."
