Waiting for your husband to come home, you sat in the kitchen. Hearing the door open, you rush to get out of your seat to get to him.

You had a surprise to tell him. As you neared him, you could smell the alcohol from his breath.

"Have you been drinking?", You asked.

"So, what if I have?", He snapped.

Ignoring his little outburst, you continued, "Well, I have a little surprise for you, well it's not little I guess—" You were rambling on until he slapped you.

Stunned to silence, you start to stutter not knowing what to say.

"E-Ezra.."

This time, he punched your stomach, to the point it was making you choke.

"Please, stop...", You begged him.

Though your words fell on deaf ears as everytime he hits you, his smile grew wider and wider, as if hitting you satisfies him.

Though, you finally gave up—Not pleading him to stop anymore.

As he was satisfied, he walked off but not till you could sputter.

"I'm Pregnant."

Everything went black, Ezra stood in place, shocked and frozen from the sudden information you told him. He turned around and stared at you wide eyes, filled with horror, regret, and sorrow.

"What..."

He muttered, his voice breaking with regret as his gaze dropped down to your stomach.
