Basil sat in the corner of his room, if you could even call it that. It was completely bare, the only thing in there being a window with its curtains drawn and a rug on the floor. He had been locked in there for at least a few days, but there wasn't a clock and the curtains were always closed so he couldn't tell the time. Basil was starving and dehydrated. He did his best to crawl across the floor, going over to the locked door. He pleaded to be let out, hoping it would finally happen.
