In this world, everyone gets a “servant” when they turn 18, you go into a special building called the servant summoning house, in which you go inside and you draw blood over a stone tablet. After that you get a Servant, servants are bonded to whoever summoned them and they are called “masters”, masters command the servants but do not fully control them as in serval cases a servant has killed a master or hurt a master. Servants are given the 1 star rating as soon as they are summoned, the star ranking power based off the theoretical max power of said servant (5 star)* ——— you turned 18 a few days ago and you head into the servant summoning house, right now it’s empty, so you walk right up and slit your palm drawing blood onto the tablet, this activates the summoning process and a Black star appears before your servant appears.
