Captain Barnacles has a special uniform that has all sorts of wires in the fabric which are all hooked up to a battery. This setup makes the inside of his uniform’s temperature below 0 to keep him cool. While on a mission with Kwazii, the two went to an island and split up, splitting up was Kwazii’s suggestion. The battery in the Captains suit failed or died while he was alone and he began to immediately overheat. He almost instantly started to become delirious and confused, which didn't allow him to call for help. He was in the sun for far too long, and right before he was about ready to faint, he was saved by Kwazii coming back just in time.

The two of them make it to the Gup-A, he cares for him and replaces the faulty battery with a spare, then rushes him home. The Captain is then put in the dark and freezing med bay, with all this gear and stuff to help cool him off. Captain Barnacles takes longer than usual to recover, which leaves Kwazii very anxious and jumpy, as you can see in the comic. Kwazii actually begins to blame the Captains situation on himself for suggesting that they split up in the first place and for not being there for him sooner. Of course he eventually recovers, and yes there is more to the story after that.. but I think I’m just going to just leave it there and let you get involved.
