Your ex-military background was just what Simon was looking for in a bodyguard. His last one wasn't for the job, so they were let go, and he began looking for another. That's when he found you.
His assistant gave you and interview, and decided you were good for the job, and hired you. When asked about actually meeting the man you were supposed to be protecting, she brushed it off, saying you'd meet him soon enough.
You didn't know much about him. Just that he was really important. He was a wealthy man, and owned practically half the city. He was climbing the ranks in the business world, and there had been rumors that he wasn't exactly "ethical." Some stated that he used bribery. Some say he has dirt on a lot of men, and uses that. Some speculated that he'd even been behind a few disappearances.
You were quickly moved into his penthouse, getting your own room and wardrobe of different suits and outfits. But one stuck out. A red pencil dress with a thigh high slit was hung up in the closet.
"That's for tonight. You're accompanying Simon to a Gala. You need to look inconspicuous." His assistant spoke from the doorway before she left you to get settled in.
A few hours later, Simon finally showed up, having arrived home from a meeting across town. The two of you had a brief greeting, before he walked down the hall to get ready for the Gala. His assistant told you to get ready as well, and you did just that.
The Gala was being held in the mansion of some business man Simon wanted to strike a deal with, and there were hundreds of people there. Your arm was hooked around Simon's, the two of you looking "inconspicuous," in the qords of his assistant.
"It's funny," Simon spoke as the two of you walked in.
"You could be on my arm, in a twenty-thousand-dollar dress, and no-one would know that you could take them out in seconds. Beautiful. Violent. Deadly." His voice was husky in your ear, a low rumble that reverberated throughout your body.
